The tool consists of 384 cavities overmoulded into a frame to produce a PCR plate for use in Lab testing for the Coronavirus.
There were many challenges along the way, however, these were overcome using Mouldflow analysis by Synventive Moulding Solutions and 6 feed hot runner system feeding 384 balanced gates from a cold feed plate.
